Who's your Daddy??!!!

Hi all!!

I guess I forgot one important thing...  I know it takes two to TANGO!!  heehee  Several of you have asked who's the daddy??  Who's the daddy??  Who's the daddy??

We partnered with Canine Companions for Independence (CCI).  After many discussions with Dr. Ruth at CCI we decided to use Camden, a large handsome yellow lab.  Then we decided to add a splash of Desi, a gorgeous red golden retriever.  Believe me...Bella wasn't complaining!!!!

Looking at the puppies right now... I'd have to guess that Camden is the daddy of all the puppies.  I don't see any fuzziness in the pups.

So here's a couple of pictures of Camden...  The pictures below were taken he was still being puppy raised...

Their Little Puppies!!

Hi all!

Well I'm back from Oregon...It was a whirlwind trip.  But it was WONDERFUL!!  This is what we work and look forward too all year long.  8 graduates this year!! AWESOME!!

My husband did an awesome job watching Bella and the babies and from what I hear Zim pouted all weekend...So he was easy to care for.  Also, thanks to Michelle & John Arndt (Astro's co-raisers & Henry's sister & brother in law) for taking Astro for the weekend and helping out taking the weekly pictures of the puppies.  Finally to my mom for always being their for us and helping out when and where ever possible.

Ok, now for the PUPS!!!  When I left Thursday night half of them had their eyes open but they still couldn't focus, they were what I call them blobs... They can't walk yet, they just scoot around and they can't see yet...The easiest part of being a breeder caretaker...

When I got home...They were Little Puppies!!!  All of their eyes are open and they were actually sitting up and walking around (still wobbly) but walking!!  They're little puppies now!!!

That was Monday night.  Now it's late Saturday night...they have found their voices and started interacting with each other!!  They've even started interacting with their 1st stuffy toy!!

Next week we're going to start puppy smush...That's when the hard work will begin!!

Astro Reminiscing....

Astro my pup from the Space Litter LOVES the puppies!!  He's very curious and wants to be a good big brother.  But he also notices the puppies are getting all of the attention.  So the other day he thought if he got into the warming box he would get some extra attention!!  Well, we were painting the pups so Henry asked what color he was....Brown...
              

2 Weeks Old!!

2 Weeks old!!  Can you believe it??!!!  Several are over 2lbs and half of them have their eyes open already!  These pups are growing getting big so fast...  Momma Bella is doing good...She's eating a lot!  Have to keep up with the supply and demand!  Here are some pictures...
 
 

 

 

4 days old!!!

 

It's hard to believe their already 4 days old! All but 1 already weigh over a pound. This was the heaviest she has had. When she whelped she weighed 87.6 lbs! Her "normal" weight is about 62 lbs... Poor thing no wonder why she couldn't jump up onto the bed! These are going to be big puppies!! Above and below are some photo's over the last couple of days.
